Where Do Premmie Babies Come From?

Why is it every time I say that Airlie was prem that people just assume that she didnt want to stay in there? It is like most people don’t know or understand why babies are born premature. I try to use our premmie journey to educate others so they are aware of the different reasons behind prematurity.

Have you ever had this happen to you? Post a comment and let me know!!

    Hi

Our wee bub was born 30 weeks at the NICU ward, they were fabulous and LJ is now 27 months and we didnt once think about what others said, they did comment on why she came so early but today she is a fabuous girl thanks to the team, she has come leaps and bounds and is ruling the roost (much to my dismay). Reesa was the best carer for LJ in the NICU, hope you had the fortune of meeting her.

    Hi thanks for your comment.

Glad to hear that Miss LJ is taking the world by storm its fantastic to hear.
YES I did have the pleasure of meeting Reesa and she was also one of Airlie’s main nurses when Airlie was first born. Reesa is a beautiful person so kind and gentle teaching us how to care for our precious premmie baby girl. She found ways to explain what was happening and I am truely thankful that we were lucky enough to have had her care and help heal and grow Airlie into the amazing girl she is today.
Miss Airlie also rules the roost here and LOVES to be the boss. She is very strong willed and smart too. It amazes me how much she can do. I had no huge expectations of what she would do and how she would do it but she seems to be even smarter then what she is suppose to be for her age. All thanks to the great start although early in the hands of amazing people at Royal North Shore Sydney.
I think of our Journey as an Unexpected early arrival filled with beautiful and amazing people.

    Fiona
