I have always been a keen lover of music. I don’t think you can beat listening to something you love and even better if you can see the musician live. It is undoubtedly one of my most favorite things to do.
While we were in NICU with Airlie there was always some kind of music playing softly in the background. The very first song I remember hearing when I first seen Airlie was Angel by Sarah McLachlan. A beautiful song filled with pure emotion. Its like it was written for a NICU. You can feel the music wash within you as you listen and you become one. This song has such a special place in my heart not only as it was the first song I heard meeting Airlie in the NICU but also because it means so much to other people. Many people chose this song as the song for their babies funeral. We share this song with many babies and we are proud to share it with such strong courageous beautiful babies. I subconsciously chose this song for Airlie if anything happened I just KNEW I would use this. Our time in NICU was shared with families who used this song for their babies and since leaving we have met many more.
I wonder if Sarah knows how much this song means to so many people? You can see as she sings it below how much emotion runs through her to sing it. I also wonder if she wrote it or who ever wrote it promoted them to do so?

Sarah, Thank you for a beautiful song. We are proud to share this song with many premmie babies and many  Angel Babies who we think of  everyday and miss you.
