13 pound baby and 2 pound premmie baby unlikely friends in NICU.

australia-6.2kg-newborn-baby-australian-premature-baby-800grams A baby born in North Queensland Australia was born weighing 6.2kg = 13 pounds eight ounces and 55cm in length! The baby girl is reported to be one of the Australia’s biggest babies born. The little girl named Chelsea Rose Mackay  reported to already be wearing crawler nappies that are usually worn by 6months old (unless they are premature!). Chelsea’s mother has attributed the Chelsea’s higher birth weight to her stockman’s diet.     This story also has another star and her name is Melinda Burns who was born weighing 818 grams. The photograph was taken when Melinda was a month old weighing 1200grams.

All that comes to mind with this story is Airlie was 6.7kg when she was 12months old!  Best wishes to Melinda and Chelsea.
