Mike and Amy Hussey welcome 4th Baby 3 months premature

Cricket Australia announced  on the 10th June 2012  that Micheal Hussey will not be joining the Australian Cricket team on their upcoming tour due to family reasons.   The reason were that his wife Amy has given birth to their 4th child  who was born 3months premature. Mike  said he preferred to stay close by during this time.

“Due to our baby being born three months early, it is important for the family for me to be here at this time,” Hussey said in a statement.

“It is always difficult to miss any tour for Australia and I thank CA (Cricket Australia) for their understanding of our family’s situation.”

This isn’t the first time that the Hussey’s have dealt with premature birth though,  I wrote about the Australian Cricketer and his wife back in 2007, when their 3rd baby Molly Mae was also born 3 months premature.  You can read that story here.  I haven’t read  much about the details of the baby or why they was born premmie, however from being the Mum of a baby born 3months premature too I can completely understand what they are going through.  I’d just like to personally wish Mike Hussey, Amy Hussey and all their family members the very best during this time. Having any of your children born premature is a very big experience,  both the parents and the extended family of the baby experience many emotions and they need lots of support during this time.  The Hussey family already have 3 children and this would be a particularly stressful time trying to juggle their responsibilities to the older 3 children while also trying to . I’m also currently 29weeks pregnant so 11 weeks or just outside the 3 months premature of the Hussey’s 3rd and 4th child has been born at and understanding fully what these babies go through at this gestation only makes me even think of them even more.

If you would like to leave the Hussey family some love please do so below, any thoughts, prayers etc I am sure will be appreciated at this time.
